🕯️ THE UNDYING NIGHT — “Nord’s Eternal Shadow”
(A Never-Ending Horror Saga —)
★ Part 1 — The Night That Never Ends
The clouds hanging over the sky that night felt heavy, like a curse.
In the small Norwegian town of Vågsbygd, the cold was so sharp that even the tree branches looked shriveled and trembling.
Everything was silent…
Too silent…
And in the middle of that dead silence, inside one grave of the old Vågsbygd Cemetery,
someone…
from inside…
slowly pushed the soil upward.
The dirt cracked—
the gravestone shifted—
and a broken, low groan tore through the night:
“Where am I…?”
It was Nord.
The same Nord… the same boy the world had always called “crazy.”
But today, there was no human left in his eyes…
only darkness.
**Chapter 1
Shadows of Vågsbygd — The Price of Immortality**
Whether it was his childhood or his youth—
Nord was never accepted by the world.
Kids laughed at him:
“Nord’s house has ghosts.”
“He talks weird.”
Even his parents believed he was a mental patient and abandoned him.
He was alone…
a prisoner of fear, sadness, and helplessness.
Every night in the cold air of Vågsbygd, he whispered the same prayer:
“Either give me a reason to live…
or give me death…”
But life rejected him,
and death did too.
Then one day, a mysterious occult book found its way into his broken hands—
the “Ritual of Everdark,”
stolen from the Suceava Monastery in Romania.
It said that immortality was possible.
But the body wouldn’t live or die…
it would simply keep decaying forever.
Nord thought this was his solution.
But he didn’t know—
this wasn’t the beginning of his life,
it was the beginning of his endless deaths.
**Chapter 2
The Night He Died — A Death That Never Happened**
When Vågsbygd Police got the call:
“Nord is dead,”
the entire town fell into panic.
Inside his home on Hølleveien Road 92, officers saw something that made even the youngest of them scream.
Inside the room were:
• hundreds of dolls
• some with stitched eyes
• some with twisted necks
• broken animal bones
• black ritual symbols painted on the walls
• blood-like stains that had no blood smell
• and in the center — Nord’s lifeless body
After seeing all this, a team of Exorcist priests was called from Vatican City.
They labeled it a “Special Case of Ritual Suicide.”
But…
Nord wasn’t dead.
He had only been stopped.
Someone…
some invisible force…
had trapped him between death and return.
**Chapter 3
12:13 AM — The Bones Begin to Move**
Vågsbygd Cemetery
Night, 12:13 AM
Nord’s eyes opened inside the grave.
He heard distant church bells…
as if an ancient chapel was calling him back.
His breath felt like fire.
His body was rotten.
Bones cracked inside him.
He tore through the soil—
broke out—
with a half-broken scream.
He was alive.
But he was no longer human.
Staggering, he returned to his house.
A Vatican seal was on the door—
but he didn’t need a door anymore.
He pushed it with his hand…
and the wood shattered
as if it were nothing but dry bread.
Inside — the same dolls…
the same bones…
the same symbols.
Everything looked like it had been waiting for him.
And at that moment—
he felt hunger.
A hunger he had never known before.
As if there was a hollow darkness inside him
that wanted to swallow everything.
**Chapter 4
The First Eat — A Hunger Not Human**
Nord searched for food—
bread, milk, fish…
he ate it all.
Nothing worked.
Then he saw a decayed, rotten cat on the floor.
Crawling with worms.
Emitting a smell strong enough to make a human faint.
But to Nord…
it only increased his hunger.
He pounced on it.
Worms, rotten flesh—
he swallowed everything.
And for the first time,
he tasted something under his nails
that resembled human skin.
Then he fell asleep…
into a strange, dead sleep.
**Chapter 5
The Black Drift — Shadows Moving Through Town**
While Nord slept,
the town of Vågsbygd stayed awake.
People heard:
• windows opening on their own
• footsteps walking over tables
• children’s toys moving by themselves
• whispers floating through the air
Fear spread across the town.
No one knew
that Nord’s return
was not his alone.
He had brought with him
Black Drift —
a dark entity
linked to him through an ancient Romanian ritual.
A shadow
that hungered for death.
Not human hunger…
but the hunger for souls.
And the next night…
the first human body
would disappear from Vågsbygd.

🕯️ Part 2 — The Half-Dead Hunger and the First Human Taste
(The Undying Night — Nord’s Eternal Shadow — Part 2)
The nights in Vågsbygd had grown even darker now.
There was a strange dampness in every breath—so much that people whispered, “Even the air here is remembering something.”
Street cameras flickered and dimmed; behind closed doors, people peeked out nervously—wondering which neighbor would be next.
Chapter 1 — The Missing Corpse and the First Scream
Date: October 14
Location: Vågsbygd General Hospital, Morgue A
The doctor said, “There’s nothing wrong in the report.”
But the morgue technician had seen something the night before—Nord’s body… was gone.
Only hours later, a scream tore through the west side of town—from a teenage girl’s home.
Her father said, “I opened the door and… there was only a black shadow, a crawling restlessness on the floor… and a mark—like someone had sliced through skin.”
The first human corpse had vanished, yet the autopsy report remained empty—no evidence of any body at all.
People began losing faith—neither science nor religion was helping them.
Chapter 2 — Inspector Freya and the First Theory
Inspector Freya Lund of the Vågsbygd Police Department had seen many strange cases—but nothing like this. For the first time, she felt true fear looking back at her.
“This isn’t theft or homicide,” she said.
“This is a ritually motivated phenomenon. We need forensic support and international help.”
For the first time, she hesitated—then called the Vatican.
The Vatican Exorcist Team responded:
“This case falls within our remit.”
Father Matteo Rossi—an experienced exorcist from Rome’s Collegium Sacerdotale—arrived within three days, with a small team: a nun, a religious historian, and a photographer.
His first inspection was Nord’s house. Among the dolls, he noticed small blackened markings, and a peculiar item Nord was often seen holding—a bundle of old keys with Romanian inscriptions etched on them.
Chapter 3 — The Shadow’s Roots in Romania
Dr. Anca Ionescu, a folklore specialist from Suceava University, joined the investigation after the Vatican’s request.
She revealed that the symbols matched ancient texts from Suceava Monastery—linked to a forbidden ritual known as “Mânzul Negru.”
The legend described a curse that traps the dead—neither letting them live nor die.
“This ritual was once used by remote villages for protection,” she explained, “but later outlawed because it turned souls into hungry beings.”
Father Matteo whispered:
“If this is true, Nord is not just a victim—he’s a portal.”
Chapter 4 — Nord’s New Awakening
Nord’s hunger was evolving.
It wasn’t just flesh anymore—memories were beginning to feed him.
In his strange half-dreams, he saw faces of people who once mocked him—school kids, neighbors, those who forgot he existed. Whenever he touched someone, their memories—scents, laughter, tiny details—soothed his hunger.
But living humans gave off something else—pain or love—and that fed him in a deeper, temporary way.
The relief never lasted. The hunger always returned, sharper each time.
One night, he tried to feed on an old cemetery gardener.
“What are you doing there?” the gardener shouted.
Nord heard a sweetness in his voice—then lunged.
But the moment he touched him, the gardener’s memories—his son’s laughter, his wife’s voice—flooded Nord.
Something changed—he felt a flicker of humanity return.
Panicked, Nord backed away screaming.
The gardener survived—unconscious, but alive.
For the first time, Nord left a human alive.
But the cost was high—he lost a piece of his own memories, and his hunger returned fiercer than before.
Chapter 5 — Media, Rumors, and the Order of the Hollow Cross
News spread everywhere.
Leaked CCTV footage showed a shadow sliding across the cemetery wall.
Some said it was Nord’s ghost.
Others claimed it was a government experiment.
Conspiracy circles insisted an old alliance between the Vatican and Romania—Order of the Hollow Cross—had resurfaced.
Father Matteo said such an order “should not officially exist.”
Yet rumors existed everywhere—about a group that protected knowledge capable of controlling half-dead beings.
Inspector Freya searched local archives—and found a 1979 report referencing a similar ritual.
A name appeared: Edvard Mørk, a relative of Professor Henrik Mørk.
That put Professor Henrik—an anthropology professor at the University of Oslo—on the suspect list.
Chapter 6 — Professor Henrik and the Torn Letter
Professor Henrik Mørk explained:
“These symbols don’t match Arctic shamanism. This is a hybrid construct.”
He handed them a file of old letters—written by a Russian-Romanian occultist in the 1940s—describing rituals born from a dangerous cultural merging.
One page was torn, but the remaining line read:
“Keep the key away from those who crave the living.”
The keys found with Nord looked identical.
“Nord may have opened a door,” Henrik warned,
“and now that door is knocking back.”
Chapter 7 — The First Harvest
A young teacher, Anna Berg, disappeared next.
Beloved by the entire school.
At her home’s doorway, officers found small traces of blood—no deep wounds.
Her mother whispered, “She went upstairs… then silence swallowed everything.”
CCTV footage showed distortions—shadow movements near a quiet street.
“That’s demonic feeding,” Father Matteo said.
“No,” Dr. Anca corrected, “this looks like transference—something taken, something given.”
Nord finally understood:
He didn’t just crave bodies.
He craved life’s content—memories, love, fear, regret.
And whatever happened to Anna—stories spread that she lost memories of her children… or her laughter vanished from her eyes.
Chapter 8 — Nord’s Struggle: Human or Monster?
One night, Nord whispered to himself:
“What am I? God left me… the world rejected me… yet something inside says memories can lessen someone else's pain—or increase it.”
He stood before a broken mirror—his face decayed, but his eyes glowing with unnatural fire.
Every memory he stole erased a piece of his humanity—his mother’s song, the smell of his books.
And in return, he gained cold silence.
Chapter 9 — An Unexpected Alliance
“We must capture him alive,” Inspector Freya insisted.
Killing Nord could spread the phenomenon elsewhere.
“These entities can’t be destroyed,” Father Matteo agreed.
“They can only be redirected.”
Professor Henrik proposed a plan:
“If his hunger is connected to emotional resonance, we can distract him—build a containment ritual based on controlled memory transference.”
But who would willingly give their memories?
A lost name resurfaced—Lena, Nord’s younger sister, taken away in childhood and raised in a city orphanage.
Hearing of Nord’s return, she broke down and said:
“I think I have something he needs… but what will it cost me?”
Chapter 10 — The New Ritual and the First Offering
The group designed a modified version of Mânzul Negru—but controlled, consensual, and safe.
On October 21, they gathered in the old church cellar.
Lena volunteered her childhood memories.
“This might erase parts of you,” Dr. Anca warned.
“My identity was shattered long ago,” Lena said.
“Tonight I reclaim my brother.”
The ritual began—bells, Romanian chants, Vatican prayers.
Lena released memories—Nord’s laughter, childhood fights, their mother’s name.
Nord felt something… warm.
He whispered:
“This… is human.”
Peace filled the cellar—for a moment.
Then, miles away, someone screamed.
A new disappearance.
A shift.
Lena’s memories had been taken—
but somewhere else, new shadows were born.
Chapter 11 — The Price of Every Solution
The ritual worked—Nord quieted down.
But people across Vågsbygd began losing their sweetest memories—
a mother forgot her daughter’s first laugh,
an old man forgot his dead son’s voice.
“This isn’t justice,” Freya said.
“It’s temporary survival,” Father Matteo replied.
Lena cried, “What I gave… someone stole from me.”
Dr. Anca whispered,
“Every transfer demands balance.”
Professor Henrik concluded:
“We’ve built a sand wall in rising tides. Something heavier is pressing from above. And the Order of the Hollow Cross won’t stay silent.”
Chapter 12 — A New Threat and the Conditions of Infinity
A package was found near the railway tracks.
On it were Roman letters:
“Do not close the door you opened.”
Inside:
A photograph of Nord—
and behind him, a towering shadowy figure.
With it, a note:
“He is only the beginning. — H.C.”
The Order of the Hollow Cross had spoken.
Nord was merely their experiment.
Their real aim was the ancient knowledge itself.
And as Nord calmed, a chain reaction began worldwide—
shadows in Marseille, strange echoes in Prague, symbols on Icelandic ice.
Nord was no longer alone.
He was a link.
Ending (Temporary) — The Real End Never Comes
Part 2 ends with temporary calm:
Nord quieter, Lena broken yet brave, Freya strengthening security, Father Matteo returning an old cross to the Vatican, Anca and Henrik preparing the next step.
But they all know—
something massive is coming.
A war not just of spirits—
but of memory, love, sin, and regret.
⚠️ COMING IN PART 3
• Nord’s first true confrontation—with the ancient deity behind his shadow.
• The real identity of the Order of the Hollow Cross.
• Lena’s hidden past and why she alone could feed Nord.
• New outbreaks across Europe—Prague, Suceava, Marseille.
• Arrival of Agent Ivar Kappel (EU Occult Crimes Task Force):
“This is bigger than mythology.”
