🎃 THE FOREST MOTHER
(The Legend of Muma Pădurii)
Part 1 — The Shadow of the Forest
(Written by Captain Reax)
Chapter 1: The Black Forest of Romania
It was the year 1893.
In the northern part of Romania stretched a vast, mysterious forest —
“Hoia-Baciu Forest.”
People whispered its other name — “The Cursed Forest.”
They said the sun never truly rose there.
The trees were so twisted they looked like the fingers of a giant.
And when night fell, it seemed as if the forest itself was breathing.
The nearby village of Sibiu believed that a woman lived in that forest —
very old, bent-backed, with eyes glowing like yellow fire.
She was the spirit of the woods,
known as “Muma Pădurii” — The Forest Mother.
Chapter 2: The Beginning of the Curse
Long ago, when the land was still sacred,
there lived a woman named Elena Drăghici.
She was a forest healer, using herbs to cure the sick.
People called her “The Daughter of the Woods.”
Then one day, a plague swept through the village.
Many children died.
Terrified, the villagers believed the priest’s words —
he said, “This is the result of Elena’s dark witchcraft.”
Without thinking twice, they set her house on fire.
Burning alive, Elena screamed:
“Your children will burn in my fire!
Your names will vanish!
I will become the spirit of this forest —
and you shall never know peace!”
As her screams echoed, the sky turned crimson,
the trees bent low, and the air filled with ash.
From that night onward, the forest was never the same.
Chapter 3: The Silence of Centuries
Years passed.
People began to treat the story as mere folklore.
But every fifty years, someone disappeared into that forest —
a woodcutter, a hunter, sometimes even a child.
Villagers would whisper:
“It’s the season of Muma Pădurii —
when fog descends and the trees begin to whisper.”
They hung garlic garlands and wooden crosses on their doors,
because they knew — if she came,
someone would surely be taken.
Chapter 4: The Call of Darkness
It was winter.
A young man arrived in the village — Arin Velescu,
an explorer and scientist.
He sought to uncover the truth behind the old legends.
He asked the villagers,
“Has anyone ever seen her?”
An old woman, her voice trembling, replied:
“Yes… I saw her when I was a child.
She came — covered in moss, her fingers like tree roots,
and her voice echoed in the air:
‘Do not touch my forest…’”
Arin laughed.
“It’s all imagination.”
But that same night, when he entered the forest,
he heard someone whisper his name:
“Arin…”
He turned — no one was there.
Only fog, cold wind, and the rustle of the trees.
Chapter 5: Roots That Breathed
Arin began digging near his campsite.
He was searching for old ruins.
But soon he noticed — the soil was moving on its own.
Slowly, the ground cracked open,
and black roots began crawling out.
They pulsed softly, as if they were alive.
The air filled with a foul, decaying smell.
From the dirt, a skeletal face emerged.
Its eyes were open — staring straight at Arin.
He stumbled back,
and from behind came a voice:
“I warned you… do not touch my forest…”
Chapter 6: The First Victim
By morning, the villagers found Arin’s tent empty.
Only his diary remained.
It read:
“She’s real… alive in every leaf, every root…
She was watching me…”
From that day on, a strange new smell drifted from the forest —
a mixture of rotting wood and human blood.
And when the wind blew, the trees whispered:
“Elena… Elena…”
Chapter 7: The Eyes of the Forest
That night, several villagers went to the forest edge with torches.
Burned handprints covered the tree trunks —
as if someone had tried to leave a fiery warning.
Then they heard children’s laughter in the air.
Slowly, it turned into screams.
And then they saw her —
Muma Pădurii.
She was bent but taller than any human.
Her hair hung like tangled vines,
and her eyes burned with yellow fire.
She moved forward slowly,
and the trees bowed with her — as if worshiping their goddess.
Chapter 8: Echo of the Curse
That night, fire consumed the village.
No one saw who started it.
When dawn came and the ashes cooled,
one word was written on every wall — “Elena.”
And inside every house, a single voice echoed:
“You burned me…
Now your children will water my roots…”
Chapter 9: The Spreading Terror
The villagers began fleeing.
Their cattle were dying, wells turned black.
Anyone who neared the forest — never returned.
The old priest said:
“She is no longer just a spirit…
She has become a living force.”
They said she had divided her soul among all the roots of the forest.
Whoever dared to cut down a tree —
her spirit would enter their body.
Chapter 10: The Threshold of the Woods
The last woman in the village — Mara,
Arin’s beloved,
swore she would calm Elena’s spirit.
That night, she entered the forest alone,
carrying a lantern and a wooden cross.
The fog was thick.
Through the trees, she saw an old wooden cabin —
skulls hanging on the walls,
children’s toys near the door,
and whispers floating through the air.
She stepped inside.
On the walls, painted in green, were the words — “The Forest Mother.”
In the center stood a stone altar,
and upon it — a burning heart.
Mara’s lips trembled:
“Elena… I came to ask for forgiveness…”
The lantern went out.
And in the darkness, a voice whispered behind her:
“It’s too late, my child…”
🔥 Part 1 — End.
Next Part:
“Rise of the Forest Mother”
where Muma Pădurii is reborn,
and the forest itself rises to take revenge upon mankind.
🎃 THE FOREST MOTHER – PART 2
Rise of the Forest Mother
(Written by Captain Reax)
Chapter 1: The Threshold of the Forest
On a winter night, Hoia-Baciu Forest had grown even denser and more terrifying.
Dust and rotting leaves lay deep in the tree roots, and every rustle of the wind sounded like a whisper:
“You played with me… now your end will come…”
Strange sounds echoed from every house in the village.
Beneath old floors, under the boards, roots moved slowly.
Every living creature, every bird, every insect — had become the eyes of the forest.
And in that thick fog… a figure appeared.
Muma Pădurii.
She was no longer the old, bent woman she had been.
Her body was a mixture of wood, bones, and flesh.
Her hair tangled like moss and vines, her eyes burning with green fire.
With every breath she took, the trees bowed, the roots trembled, and the air shivered.
Chapter 2: Mara’s Secret
Mara, who had entered the forest alone in Part 1, now returned to the village.
But the light in her eyes was gone.
She was no longer fully human.
The power of Forest Mother now resided within her.
Her face appeared normal during the day, but at night, her skin cracked, and roots emerged.
Her whispers echoed through the air:
“Every leaf, every root… will bear witness to your sins…”
Elena realized that the embodiment of Forest Mother lived inside Mara.
“This is not just a spirit… it’s a power… and it has chosen her as its Vessel.”
Elena’s heart froze.
Chapter 3: The Awakening of the Forest
The forest was no longer just a forest.
It had become alive, conscious, and deadly.
Trees began growing around the village,
roots creeping into houses in the dark of night.
Someone saw — instead of fish, human bones floated in the wells.
Children’s laughter had become screams.
And anyone who tried to cut a tree —
was swallowed by its roots.
Chapter 4: Elena’s Return
Elena was now alone in the forest.
She saw Mara and the forest.
She understood — if Forest Mother was not stopped, the entire village and surrounding lands would be destroyed.
Carrying a lantern and a wooden cross, she walked along the deep forest path.
With every step, trees shifted her path, roots reached into the air, and dust and ash filled her lungs.
In the heart of the forest, Elena saw —
a massive altar made of roots and bones.
Standing on it was Mara, half-human, half the embodiment of Forest Mother.
Green fire blazed from Mara’s eyes,
and her whispers echoed:
“Elena… you are late…”
Chapter 5: The Final Confrontation
Elena raised her cross and said:
“Mara… I know you are now the power of Forest Mother… but humanity still exists within you.
I can free you from this sin.”
Mara opened her mouth:
“That power is mine now… and I will not let it go.
This forest is under my command.”
Roots began to move, trees rose on their own.
Elena lit her lantern, and flames spread through the grasping roots.
Every tree screamed, roots cracked, and Mara’s green fire dimmed.
But Forest Mother was not completely defeated.
She peered into Elena and said:
“You are my child… and now you will become Forest Mother…”
Chapter 6: The Sacrifice
Elena gathered her final strength.
She placed herself on the altar at the heart of Forest Mother.
Her soul merged with the power of Forest Mother.
Mara slowly returned to being human, the green fire in her eyes extinguished.
The forest calmed, but not entirely.
Elena had become Forest Mother —
both the guardian of the forest and the goddess of vengeance.
Chapter 7: The Forest’s New Power
The sun rose, but Hoia-Baciu Forest was no longer a peaceful place.
The power of Forest Mother resided in Elena.
Every leaf, every root watched.
The villagers realized:
“The forest is alive now… and it will never end.”
Mara looked at Elena and whispered:
“Now I am human… but this power will always stay with us.”
And in the air, the familiar voice echoed once more:
“Forest Mother will never rest…
And those who dare… will become roots of the forest…”
🔥 Part 2 — End.
The story is now complete.
Muma Pădurii is no longer just a spirit —
she has become a conscious, divine entity.
The forest has taken revenge on mankind and established its power.
Elena is now Forest Mother, and Mara represents her human side.
