Their corpses did not look like victims of human hands, but of a demonic presence.
Written in blood on the wall were the words:
“No God here… only Confessions…”

The Deadly Confessions – Part 1

(In this first part — the rise of silence and the beginning of death’s shadow)

1. The Dangerous Forest and the Path to the Church

In the middle of the Atlantic Ocean lay a desolate island known as "Isla del Silencio" — the Island of Silence.
Locals called it the "Island of Death."
At the heart of the island stretched a dark, damp, and impenetrable forest — Bosque de las Sombras (Forest of Shadows).
The trees were so tall and thick that sunlight never touched the ground, even in the middle of the day.
Centuries ago, in the very center of this forest, a majestic but now crumbling Saint Helena Cathedral had been built.

There was only one way to reach the church — "Maria Path", which appeared only when the sea receded: once during the day and once at night, for just thirty minutes.
The rest of the time, the raging ocean swallowed the path completely.
Locals believed that anyone who set foot on it at the wrong time would never return.

2. Life Inside the Church

Inside the church lived only 13 nuns — all in black veils and white habits, spending day and night in prayer.
Alongside them were a gardener named Miguel Arturo, a doctor named Dr. Esteban Rico, and a janitor named Carlos Mendoza.
The air inside the cathedral was always cold, as if unseen breaths drifted through the halls.
Old wooden pews, charred candle marks, and weathered crosses on the walls whispered of a long-forgotten era.

Among the islanders, grim rumors spread —
it was said that at midnight, the nuns performed a secret prayer that summoned an invisible force.
No outsider had ever witnessed this prayer… or, if they had, they never came back.

3. That Black Night

On the night of October 14, 1998, a heavy fog rolled over the sea.
The air was thick with the smell of rot and salt.
As soon as the clock struck midnight, the church bell began to toll on its own — Gong… Gong… Gong…
The nuns lit candles in the main hall and placed an ancient black, leather-bound book on the altar.
Dr. Rico and Carlos watched from above, frozen in fear.

Suddenly, the pages of the book began to turn on their own…
and when they stopped at page 13, every candle in the church went out.
In the darkness, a voice — female, yet impossibly deep and cracked — echoed:
"Confess… or Burn…"

4. The Dance of Death

The first to scream was Sister Maria — an invisible rope tightened around her neck, her eyes bulging from their sockets.
Her body hung mid-air, as if suspended from an unseen gallows.
The gardener Miguel ran toward the door, but it slammed shut and heavy iron chains dropped from the outside.
He cried out: "God, save me!"
But from above, a massive chandelier crashed down, crushing his skull.

Dr. Rico heard them fall one by one —
spines snapping, black blood pouring from mouths, fingernails scraping deep into the walls as unseen hands dragged bodies away.
Blood ran like rivers across the floor, and into it fell the church’s cross, sinking completely.

5. The Morning Horror

The next day, when the sea receded and villagers dared to enter the church —
their screams echoed through the forest.
The 13 nuns, Miguel, Carlos, and Dr. Rico were all dead, but their bodies did not look like victims of any ordinary murder.
Some faces were burnt, some eyes gouged out, some bodies missing chunks of flesh as if they’d been eaten alive.
On the wall, written in blood, were the words:
"No God here… only Confessions…"

6. Fear in the Vatican

When news reached Vatican City, then-Pope Francisco knew this was no ordinary crime.
He immediately assembled a special team:

Father Antonio Ruiz (exorcism expert)
Sister Helena (trained nun-exorcist)
Inspector Marco Velasquez (detective)
Dr. Emily Carter (American paranormal scientist)

Their mission was clear —
uncover the truth, cleanse the church, and, if possible… seal away whatever was inside forever.

7. On the Threshold of Death

The team arrived at the church at night, when the path across the sea was open for only 20 minutes.
The moment they stepped inside, the door slammed shut on its own.
Father Antonio saw them — 13 shadowy figures seated on the pews, human-shaped but with no faces…
only black, smoke-like silhouettes…
And then, from the bell tower, the same voice echoed again:
"Confess… or Burn…"

The first part ends here…
In the second part will begin the true bloody nightmare, as the team becomes trapped inside and confronts a secret that had been buried in the cathedral for 500 years.
The second part will be four times longer and far more terrifying.

The Deadly Confessions – Part 2

(Four times the terror — the bloody truth is revealed)

1. Sealed Inside the Cathedral

The heavy wooden doors of Saint Helena Cathedral slammed shut with such force that the echo rang through the hollow halls.
Father Antonio, Sister Helena, Inspector Velasquez, and Dr. Emily Carter stood frozen.
The air smelled of damp stone and something metallic — blood, old and stale.

From the pews, the 13 faceless silhouettes remained still, their heads slightly tilted as if studying the intruders.
Emily whispered, "These… aren’t human."
The figures didn’t move — but a low, guttural hum began to rise from them, vibrating through the floor and walls.

Antonio clutched his silver crucifix and stepped forward.
"We are servants of God. Show yourselves."
The humming turned into distorted whispers — overlapping voices, male and female, young and old, all speaking at once:
"We… are… their… confessions."

2. The First Attack

Without warning, one of the shadows shot across the room like a burst of smoke, slamming into Inspector Velasquez.
He flew backward into a column, his ribs cracking audibly.
Blood spilled from his mouth as he gasped for air, but before anyone could help, black tendrils wrapped around his neck and dragged him into the darkness behind the altar.
His scream ended abruptly — replaced by a wet tearing sound.

Sister Helena’s voice trembled, "It’s feeding on guilt… on sins."
Emily looked around frantically. "This building isn’t haunted… it’s alive."

3. The Hidden Chamber

Antonio led them deeper, passing crumbling wooden doors and cracked stained-glass windows.
Each step echoed unnaturally, as if the sound were coming from far away.
In the sacristy, they found a trapdoor half-buried under a rotted carpet.

As they opened it, a wave of freezing air rushed out — carrying the stench of rotting flesh.
A spiral staircase descended into the dark.
They lit their lanterns and began the slow descent, the stone steps slick with moisture.

The chamber below was small and circular, its walls lined with wooden confession booths.
Inside each booth sat the mummified remains of a nun — their mouths sewn shut with rusted wire, hands clasped as if in prayer.

Emily whispered, horrified, "These… these are the missing sisters from the 1500s."

On the floor, scratched into the stone, were Latin words:
"In ore confessionis, diabolus intravit."
("In the mouth of confession, the devil entered.")

4. The Devil’s Bargain

The whispers returned — louder, angrier.
From the darkness, a figure emerged: tall, robed in decaying fabric, its face hidden under a hood.
Where its hands should have been were long, skeletal claws, each dripping black ichor.

It spoke in perfect, unbroken Latin — but the meaning burned into their minds:
"The sisters called to me. They wished to cleanse the sins of the world… so I cleansed them."

Antonio shouted, "In the name of Christ, I command you—"
The figure lifted a claw, and Antonio’s words choked in his throat. His body rose into the air, his skin blistering as if from invisible fire.

"Confess," it hissed, "and you may die quickly. Resist… and you will burn forever."

5. One by One

The shadow-figures began to close in.
Emily dropped her recorder and pulled a small silver flask from her bag.
She splashed holy water toward one of the shapes — it screamed like boiling metal, melting into the floor.

Sister Helena began reciting the Rite of Exorcism, her voice shaking but growing stronger.
Two of the shadows dissolved, but one lunged at her, claws raking across her chest.
Blood poured as she fell to her knees, gasping, "Finish it…"

Emily and Antonio dragged her toward the main hall, but the path seemed to stretch endlessly, the church warping like a living maze.
The walls pulsed, and the floorboards groaned as if breathing.

6. The Truth Behind the Confessions

In the warped center of the church stood an altar — but it was no longer wood.
It was made of fused human bones, the skulls still bearing expressions of terror.

Emily realized the truth.
"These aren’t ghosts. The confessions fed it — every sin spoken here was a sacrifice."
Antonio’s face went pale. "Five centuries of sin… feeding one entity."

The hooded figure appeared again, stepping from the altar itself.
Its hood fell back, revealing a face stitched together from many — male, female, child — shifting constantly, never still.
"One last confession," it said, "and I will let you go."

7. The Final Choice

Antonio refused. "We answer to God, not to you."
The demon’s laughter shook the entire cathedral.
Shadows wrapped around Antonio, pulling him apart piece by piece, his screams echoing like a hymn of damnation.

Emily, covered in his blood, realized there was no escape.
She grabbed her lighter and a flask of oil, splashing it over the bone altar.
"If you want my confession… here it is — I am your executioner."

She lit the fire.
The altar erupted in blue flames, the demon shrieking so loudly the stained-glass windows exploded outward.
The walls began to collapse as the sea roared in, flooding the cathedral.

8. Aftermath

Emily awoke on the shoreline at dawn, the island silent behind her.
The Maria Path had already disappeared under the tide.
The church was gone — swallowed by the ocean.

But in her hand was the black leather book.
When she opened it, the pages were blank…
until fresh words began to appear, written in blood:

"Your confession has been recorded."
