and on the outskirts of the city stood an old, decaying library —
People rarely visited it anymore.
Inside that forgotten library,
hidden behind a dusty wooden shelf,
lay something dark —
Its cover had no name, no symbol —
just pure darkness,
as if it wasn’t an object, but a piece of shadow itself.
Main Character:
Ethan Roy
23 years old — lonely, depressed,
a failed Writer who had lost faith in life.
A man who believed in his words,
but the world called him worthless.
He had only one dream left —
to make the world recognize him through his writing.
But destiny… had written something else for him.
The Beginning
One rainy evening, Ethan heard a strange sound inside the library —
as if an old book had fallen by itself.
He walked toward the shelf —
and suddenly, a book dropped with a loud thud.
It wasn’t just a book…
It was The Black Diary.
He slowly picked it up.
The diary gripped his palms tightly —
as if it had chosen him.
On the first page, only one line was written:
Whatever is written here… will come true within 24 hours.
Ethan laughed and said,
“If that’s real, I’ll become the greatest Writer in the world.”
And he wrote the first line:
Tomorrow morning, a man will die in Slade Town.
He didn’t write any name —
just took it as a joke, a little game.
Then closed the diary.
Next Morning — News Alert
The TV flashed Breaking News:
“An unidentified man has died in a road accident in Slade Town.”
Ethan’s heart started pounding.
His hands trembled.
“No… it’s just a coincidence…”
But his mind whispered:
“This diary is real.”
The Test
He decided to test it again.
He wrote:
Tonight, my bank account should receive $50,000.
The next morning,
a notification popped up on his phone:

Ethan broke down —
not out of joy, but fear.
The Black Diary had given him power —

Ethan screamed.

But the diary began to form new words by itself:
“Either write someone else’s death…
or your own has already been written.”
Ethan threw the diary away in panic.
But…
it slid back onto his desk by itself.
A new sentence appeared:
“Death cannot be stopped…
only delayed.”
The Twist Begins
Ethan now had only two choices:
1️⃣ Write someone else’s death.
2️⃣ Die himself within 24 hours.
But he chose a third path:
“My death will never happen.”
The diary slammed shut violently…
then opened again.
Ethan froze.
It now said:
“You think, Writer…
the story is still in your hands?

Now the diary didn’t need Ethan to write anymore —
it was writing his future by itself.

Ethan woke up screaming.
Smoke-like darkness began spreading across his room’s walls…
and from within that haze, one terrifying word appeared:
Write.
Ethan whispered, trembling:
“Who… who are you?”
A horrifying whisper replied:
I am the Editor.
And you… are just a Writer.
Suddenly, an invisible hand clamped around Ethan’s throat —
lifting him into the air!
On the wall, glowing text formed:
He fell to the floor, gasping for breath…
He realized —
to stop his own death, he must write someone else’s.
But who?
Chapter 2 — Sarah
Ethan’s only friend — Sarah Cole
the one who still believed in him.
She rushed to help him.
Sarah shouted,
“Did you do this to yourself? Why are there marks on your neck?!”
Ethan cried,
“Sarah… this diary is going to kill me!”
He showed her The Black Diary
and told her everything.
Sarah opened the diary —
and right in front of their eyes, new words began to appear:

Her face turned pale.
24:00 → 23:59 → 23:58
The countdown had begun…
Chapter 3 — The Attempt to Save
“No! Nothing will happen to you!” Ethan yelled.
Sarah said firmly:
“If this is real… erase it!”
They tried tearing the page —
but it wouldn’t rip.
Ethan hurriedly wrote:
Sarah is safe. Sarah will not die.
But opposite words appeared:
Death is not postponed…
It is replaced.
Sarah’s name vanished,
replaced by a new line:

Chapter 4 — The Origin of the Diary
“We need to find where this diary came from!” Sarah insisted.
They rushed back to Hawkins Library.
There they found an old librarian —
George Milton,
who stepped back in fear when he saw the diary.
George said shakily:
“This diary wasn’t made for humans…
It was made to capture souls.
The first Author is already dead…
and his spirit is still trapped inside!”
Ethan: “Who was he?”
George whispered:
Edgar Hawkins —
He challenged death…
and death took his story from him!
Sarah:
“What does that mean?”
