The Rise of the Black Morgath Empire Before the Gates of Hell

Part 1 – The Night Before the Final War

Between the icy mountains and dark forests of Northern Europe, there was a region known as Dragonford Valley.

The place existed on maps…
but not in the hearts of people.

Because there stood an empire that people only spoke of in whispers—

The Black Morgath Empire.”

It was said that its borders were not guarded by soldiers…

but by demons from Hell.

Every army that had ever tried to conquer that empire…

never returned.

And today…

I was about to do what no one in history had dared to do.

My name is…

Adrian Vale.

I have fought dozens of wars in my life.

I have crushed small kingdoms…

burned castles…

and killed kings on their own thrones.

But to be honest…

today’s war is different.

For the first time…

there is fear in my heart.

A massive mountain field stretched out before me.

Far away in the sky, dark clouds moved like the breathing of some giant beast.

There was a strange smell in the air.

The smell of blood and ash.

Behind me stood an army of nearly three thousand soldiers.

But today…

their eyes did not carry the same spark they usually had before battle.

Everyone was silent.

A strange silence had spread across the entire camp.

My most trusted warrior, Captain Elias Gray, walked up to me.

https://horrorstory1600.blogspot.com

He spoke quietly.

“Commander… there is still time.

We can turn back.”

I looked at him.

The fear in his eyes was obvious.

But I smiled and said—

“Elias…

history does not remember those who ran away in fear.”

He fell silent.

But his eyes told me only one thing.

“We are all going to die.”

That night we decided to celebrate before the battle.

Because…

no one knew who would still be alive in the morning.

Large bonfires were lit.

Barrels of wine were opened.

Soldiers laughed loudly…

sang songs…

But behind their laughter, I could clearly see the fear.

One soldier shouted—

“If we win, I’ll become the king of Dragonford!”

Another soldier laughed and said—

“And if we lose?”

The first soldier stayed quiet for a few seconds.

Then he said—

“Then at least tonight… we are still alive.”

Everyone burst out laughing.

But I knew…

that laughter was fake.

The night slowly grew darker.

The moon was in the sky…

but its light looked strangely red.

As if the sky had already been filled with blood.

Slowly the soldiers, drunk from wine, began falling asleep on the ground.

Some slept beside their horses.

Some fell asleep still holding their swords.

I stood outside my tent, staring toward the distant forest.

The Dragonford Forest.

https://horrorstory1600.blogspot.com

It was said that beneath the roots of its trees…

human bones were buried.

And at night…

between the trees…

you could hear

someone crying.

I looked down at my sword.

This sword had been with me through twelve wars.

But tonight…

for the first time, I felt that even it might not be able to save me.

I looked up at the sky.

“If there is a God…”

I whispered.

“Help me today.”

But the only answer was the wind.

And then…

something moved deep inside the forest.

I narrowed my eyes and looked carefully.

At first I thought it was an animal.

But then…

I saw two red eyes.

Then four.

Then ten.

Then…

hundreds.

My heart stopped for a moment.

I instantly drew my sword.

“Everyone wake up!”
I shouted with all my strength.

But by then…

it was already too late.

From inside the forest came a sound—

as if thousands of animals screamed at once.

And in the next moment…

they stepped out of the darkness.

They were not human.

But they were not animals either.

Their bodies looked like humans…

but their skin was black and burned.

Their eyes glowed like red embers.

Sharp fangs stuck out from their mouths.

And in their hands they carried weapons…

the likes of which I had never seen in my entire life.

Long black spears

with smoke rising from their tips.

The first attack was so fast that our soldiers didn’t even have time to understand what was happening.

One demon threw his spear.

It went straight through a soldier’s chest.

And the next moment—

BOOM!

https://horrorstory1600.blogspot.com

His body exploded in the air.

Blood and pieces of flesh scattered everywhere.

The soldiers began screaming.

“Demons!!”

“They are not human!!”

Chaos erupted everywhere.

I raised my sword and ran toward the first demon.

It attacked me.

I swung my sword at its neck with all my strength.

CLANG!

My blade struck its bones.

And then…

its head fell to the ground.

But what I saw next…

froze my soul.

Its severed head, lying on the ground…

was smiling.

And its body was still standing.

Then suddenly…

that body turned into ash and blew away in the wind.

The battle had already begun everywhere.

Screams…

blood…

the clash of swords…

and the terrifying growls of those demons.

This was not a battle.

It was…

like the gates of Hell had opened.

The fight continued for hours.

The night slowly began to end.

Finally…

the first light appeared in the sky.

And suddenly…

something strange happened.

All the demons stopped at once.

They looked up at the sky.

And then…

with a horrifying scream…

they all flew into the air

and vanished.

The battlefield suddenly became silent.

I looked around.

Where there had once been three thousand soldiers…

now barely twelve hundred remained.

The rest…

were dead.

My hands were covered in blood.

Around me…

there were only corpses.

I fell to my knees.

My soldiers collapsed onto the ground from exhaustion.

No one had the strength to speak.

Not even to cry.

There was only one question on everyone’s face—

“What was that?”

And to be honest…

at that moment I had no answer either.

But I didn’t know yet…

that this was only the beginning.

Because the real terror…

was still waiting.

Meta Description

A dark fantasy horror story where Adrian Vale discovers the terrifying secret behind the demonic army of the Black Morgath Empire. A cursed forest, a mysterious priest, and the blood of Jesus reveal a deadly truth before the final war.

Part 2 – The Secret of the Demons

The cold morning wind dragged the smell of blood across the battlefield.

Where thousands of our soldiers had stood during the night…

now there were only piles of corpses.

Severed arms…
broken swords…
burned bodies…

and a thick layer of dried blood covering the ground.

I stood there for a moment.

My sword was still in my hand…
but now it felt heavy.

The voice of Captain Elias Gray, standing beside me, was trembling.

“Commander… what… what were those things?”

I didn’t answer.

Because the truth was…

I didn’t know either.

We had seen many wars.

Savage tribes… barbarian warriors… ruthless soldiers…

But what we had seen last night…

was nothing like any human army.

I took a deep breath and shouted loudly:

“Anyone who is alive… stand up!”

Slowly, the surviving soldiers began to rise.

Many were wounded.

Some could barely stand.

I gave the order:

“Treat the wounded…

and bury the dead right here.”

One soldier said with tears in his eyes:

“Commander… should we go back?”

I looked at him.

I stayed silent for a few seconds.

Then I said:

“No.”

As soon as they heard my words, many soldiers’ faces turned pale.

“This war is our final war…

and I will not return without victory.”

There was stubborn determination in my voice.

A hunger for power…

that had turned my heart into stone.

But the truth was…

fear also lived inside my own heart.

I selected a few soldiers and said:

“I’m going into the forest.”

Elias asked,

“Why?”

I answered,

“Because there is someone there…

who might be able to tell us what we are fighting.”

The Dark Forest of Dragonford
https://horrorstory1600.blogspot.com

Five of us rode our horses toward the forest.

The moment we entered it…

it felt like the world had changed.

The trees were incredibly tall.

Their twisted branches looked like the arms of monsters.

The air was strangely cold.

But the most terrifying thing was this—

there was no sound in the forest.

No birds…

no animals…

only the whistling wind.

We slowly moved deeper inside.

After a while we saw a small stone church in the distance.

It was very old.

Moss covered its walls.

And half of its roof had collapsed.

But there was a light burning inside.

I stepped down from my horse.

I slowly opened the door.

Inside, an old man was kneeling and praying.

He had long white hair.

And he wore a black priest’s robe.

Without turning around, he said,

“I knew you would come.”

I froze.

“You knew?”

He slowly stood up.

His eyes were strange.

As if he already knew everything.

“You are Adrian Vale.”

I gripped my sword tighter.

“How do you know my name?”

He smiled slightly.

“Because your arrival was foretold a long time ago.”

My soldiers grew nervous.

I said,

“If you know that…

then tell me something else.”

“What were we fighting last night?”

The priest remained silent for a few seconds.

Then he said,

“You fought the soldiers of Hell.”

My soldiers’ faces turned pale.

I said angrily,

“Don’t talk nonsense!”

He calmly replied,

“This is not nonsense.”

Then he walked to a wooden table inside the church.

A small glass vial was placed there.

Inside it was a deep red liquid.

The priest picked it up.

And held it toward me.

“This…”

he said quietly,

“is the blood of Jesus.”

My soldiers stepped back immediately.

I asked in shock,

“What?”

The priest said,

“This is holy blood.

Even a single drop can turn demons into ash.”

I looked carefully at the vial.

The liquid inside glowed strangely.

As if something alive was inside it.

“Place one drop on the body of every soldier.”

I asked,

“And then we will win?”

The priest’s eyes suddenly became serious.

“Yes…

but there is one condition.”

“What is it?”

He spoke slowly.

“You must win this war before five o’clock in the evening.”

I frowned.

“And if we don’t?”

The priest looked straight into my eyes.

“Then you will become like them.”

Silence filled the church.

My soldiers began trembling with fear.

I grabbed the vial.

Inside me, that same greed returned.

The greed for power.

I said,

“If this is the price of my victory…

I will pay it.”

The priest stared at me for a moment.

Then he said quietly,

“Remember this, Adrian…

some victories turn a man into a loser forever.”

The Truth About the Demons

I turned to leave.

But suddenly I heard the priest’s voice behind me.

“Do you know why that empire is the way it is?”

I stopped.

“Why?”

He said,

“Because many years ago…

the people of that kingdom made a deal with Hell.”

My soldiers looked at each other in fear.

The priest continued,

“They sold their souls to demons…

and in return they received an invincible army.”

I asked,

“What about the people who live there now?”

The priest’s voice grew heavy.

“They are no longer human.”

“Then what are they?”

He said slowly,

“Slaves of Hell.”

A chill ran down my spine.

But it was already too late.

I placed the vial inside my armor.

Mounted my horse.

And said to my soldiers,

“We are returning to the battlefield.”

As we left the forest…

I felt as if someone was watching us from between the trees.

Many red eyes…

glowing in the darkness.

The Return

When we reached the camp…

our soldiers were waiting for us.

I took out the vial.

And told everyone,

“This is holy blood.”

One drop was placed on every soldier.

As soon as the blood touched their skin…

it burned slightly.

But at the same time they felt a strange power inside them.

The sun slowly rose higher.

I raised my sword.

And shouted,

“Today we will write history!”

The soldiers answered in a weak but echoing voice,

“War!”

We began marching toward the empire.

On top of a distant mountain…

a massive castle made of black stone could be seen.

The Black Morgath Empire.

But I did not know yet…

that inside that castle…

it was not only demons waiting for us.

There was a truth hidden there…

a truth that would change my soul forever.

And before five o’clock in the evening

I would have to make a choice—

power… or humanity.

But at that moment…

there was only one thing I wanted.

Power.

And for power…

I was ready to do anything.
