THE NIGHT THE CLOCKS DIED
PROLOGUE
Lapland Was Never Holy
Location: Rovaniemi, Lapland, Finland
Date: 25 December 1997
Time: 11:59 PM
The world calls Lapland
the land of Santa Claus.
But Lapland
was never holy.
The snow here
looks white,
but its memories are black.
And every black memory
always whispers something back.
Tonight,
we bring you face to face
with those dark nights—
nights when events occur
that always happen to someone.
Because every event
is the mark of a sin.
By destroying that mark,
we want to carve out
peace in this world.
This is a war.
And in this war,
I need every one of you
to stand with me—
so I can defeat
what crawls out of the dark.
Tonight’s story
is built on truth.
On what I have seen,
understood,
and accepted.
Believe it or don’t—
it doesn’t matter to me.
I will keep
dragging the truth
into the light.
Chapter 1
11:59 PM
Rovaniemi was a quiet city.
Too quiet.
So quiet
that at night
you could hear
the snow fall.
Eero Mäkinen
stood by the window
of his wooden house.
His wife,
Helena,
was putting their six-year-old son,
Olli,
to sleep.
The clock on the wall
moved slowly.
Tick…
Tock…
11:59 PM.
Chapter 2
When Time Stopped
The moment the hand
reached 12:00—
There was no tick.
The clock hand
trembled…
then froze.
Eero thought
the clock had broken.
Then he checked his phone.
12:00 AM. Frozen.
The radio.
The TV.
The microwave.
Everything was stuck
on the same second.
He looked outside—
The entire city
had frozen
like a photograph.
Dogs stopped barking
mid-snarl.
The wind held its breath.
And then—
The doorbell rang.
Chapter 3
The First Gift
He opened the door.
Outside sat
an old
red
gift box.
No name.
Only one line written on it:
“For the Child Inside.”
Eero’s heart
began to race.
The moment
he touched the box—
🎵
“Tick… Tock…
Time is meat…
Open slow…
The price is steep…”
🎵
It wasn’t a child’s song.
The voice sounded
like someone
who learned how to sing
while dying.
Chapter 4
The box opened.
A head
rose from inside.
A clown
with a white-painted face.
Red clothes.
White beard.
Santa Claus.
But there was
no human light
in his eyes.
He spoke—
“Ho… Ho… Ho…”
Then his smile
split open.
“I am not Santa.”
His voice
was many voices
at once.
“I am DZOAVITS.”
Chapter 5
Three Wishes
Dzoavits
shook his sack.
From inside came
the sound
of fingernails scratching.
“Three wishes,”
he said.
“Choose wisely.”
Eero asked—
“What if I don’t?”
Dzoavits leaned closer.
His neck twisted
at an impossible angle.
“Then the sack chooses.”
Chapter 6
Greed
The sack opened.
Inside
were faces.
Half alive.
Half eaten.
Greed.
They were
chewing on humans.
Blood
dripped onto the snow.
The snow
turned black.
Chapter 7
The First Victim
Helena screamed.
Olli woke up.
Dzoavits’ eyes
lit up.
“Ah…
A child.”
That night,
in Rovaniemi,
the first child
disappeared.
And time
snapped back
to
11:59.
Chapter 8
The Loop Begins
People remembered
that something
had gone wrong.
But what exactly—
no one could say.
Only this:
Gifts
kept appearing
outside doors.
And every time,
December 25
began again.

🩸 PART II
DZOAVITS : THE FALSE SAINT
PROLOGUE
The Saint Who Was Erased
Location: Vatican City – Secret Archives
Year: 1489
Every devil’s name,
at some point,
is written
in God’s book.
And the name Dzoavits
was written there—
then
deliberately erased.
Whose hand did this?
Was it done
by choice…
or was someone
forced to do it?
To uncover these answers,
I move forward,
knowing well
that I am about to offer
a sacrifice
far greater than myself.
CHAPTER 1
The Sealed Walls of Vatican
Between thick
stone walls,
Father Lucien Moreau
opened a file.
It was sealed
with red wax.
Written across it were the words:
His hands trembled.
Because in the last
three centuries,
no one who had read this file
had survived.
Their deaths were mysterious.
How they died—
no one knew.
And no one wanted to know.
Because in this cruel world,
no one truly cares
about another life.
But I do.
And I will find out
who did this,
why it was done,
and what the real reason
behind it all is.
CHAPTER 2
The Birth of Dzoavits
Inside the file, it read:
“Dzoavits was not born in Hell.
He was born in faith.”
Year 1121.
Transylvania (Romania).
A small church.
A priest served there—
Saint Valtteri.
He saved children.
He fed the starving.
People called him
the true Santa.
But…
he made one mistake.
CHAPTER 3
The Sin of Three Wishes
A mother came to him,
begging on her knees
to bring her dead child
back to life.
Saint Valtteri
offered
three prayers.
He asked for
three wishes.
And
all three
were granted.
But that very night,
beneath the church,
Greed
was born for the first time.
Born from wishes.
CHAPTER 4
From Saint to Devil
Every time
a wish was fulfilled—
the life
of another child
was taken.
Valtteri hid the truth.
He told the people:
“God works in balance.”
But the saint
began to lie.
And right there,
Dzoavits was born.
A devil
who looked like Santa,
because once—
he truly was a saint.
CHAPTER 5
Santa’s Sack
The sack
was not made of cloth.
It was
stitched together
from wishes.
Every Greed
was an unfinished desire.
Every Greed
was a human
who wanted more.
CHAPTER 6
Why Children?
The file stated:
“Children are pure time.”
“Their death feeds the loop.”
The death of children
froze time itself.
That is why
every 25 December,
the clocks died.
CHAPTER 7
The Choice of Lapland
Dzoavits needed a place
where people
believed in Santa.
Lapland.
Where Santa
is not a story—
but faith.
CHAPTER 8
Back to Rovaniemi
Year 1997.
Rovaniemi.
After the first loop,
20 children disappeared.
But no one
remembered them.
No one…
except one girl.
CHAPTER 9
The Girl Who Remembered
Her name was
Aino Korpela.
Age — 7.
She remembered
every loop.
Because she never
made a wish.
CHAPTER 10
Aino’s Truth
Aino told her mother:
“Santa isn’t coming…
he’s coming
to eat us.”
Her mother laughed.
That same night,
she vanished.
CHAPTER 11
The Birth of the First Witch
Aino ran
into Kuusamo Forest.
There,
the girl slowly
became
a witch.
Because once you learn the truth,
you can never
remain human.
CHAPTER 12
Time Stopped Again
In Rovaniemi,
exactly at midnight—
a gift appeared
at every door.
🎵
“Tick… Tock…
Saint turned rot…
Wish again…
Forget the cost…”
🎵
END OF PART II
🩸 COMING NEXT — PART III
THE SACK OF GREED
The entire world
inside the sack.
How Greed thinks.
Why some people
return from the sack…
but never return
as human beings.
