🩸 Beginning:
Jaiba arrives in Karamdaha for her research project. In a crumbling hut near the river, she finds a torn page from the Chhāyāsūtra. It reads:
“She sleeps beneath the waters… but awakens at night. If she sees red, you will not live to see daylight.”
😨 Strange Events:
Every night, songs of a woman echo from the river. A figure with wet hair, upside-down face, and blood-red eyes rises from the water.
On every full moon, someone vanishes.
🩸 First Bloody Scene:
A young man named Lalkeshwar went to bathe in the river.
By morning, his head was found on the village square...
His body was missing.
His heart had been placed like an offering on a stone at the riverbank.
🌀 Jhūmrī’s Backstory:
Jhūmrī was a beautiful girl during the time of tribal kings. On her wedding night, a landlord attempted to abduct her. When she resisted, they bound her and threw her into the river.
But before death, she cast a spell:
"I will return. Every red thing will call me. I will survive on blood. Water shall be my body, and fire shall be my soul."
💀 End of Part 1:
One night, Jaiba wore a red scarf and walked to the Dhughu Dhārā…
A whisper filled the air:
"You are so beautiful… Now you belong to me."
Suddenly, a woman emerged from the river—face reversed, two mouths, blood flowing from her eyes.
Only the dogs heard Jaiba’s screams… humans never did.
🩸 PART 2: Jhūmrī – The Blood Call
🌑 13 Days Later:
Three more young men disappeared.
Soma Murmu declared:
"This is no longer just Jhūmrī… she has become a Water Dākinī."
📜 Revelation:
A village child found Jaiba’s notebook. She had written:
“Jhūmrī is no longer alone. She has collected the souls of every girl who was raped and drowned. She’s no longer a spirit—she’s a reservoir of vengeful souls.”
🔥 Horrific Ritual:
A renowned tantric, Jagannath Ojha, came to stop her.
He dove into the river to chant the Purification Mantra.
But suddenly…
Hundreds of bloody hands emerged from the water.
Each finger wrapped in human skin.
His face twisted backward.
He died instantly.
🌊 The Final Strike:
Now every water source in the village has turned red with blood.
People can’t drink.
At the banks lie hair braids, broken bangles, and blood trails.
🔚 Final Scene:
Soma Murmu took the ultimate step. She recited the Shadow Surrender Mantra from the Chhāyāsūtra and sacrificed herself to the river.
Her spirit battled Jhūmrī—releasing many trapped souls.
But in the end…
Jhūmrī’s face transformed into Soma’s face.
"I am no longer a river spirit. I am the river. I am the cremation ground."
📘 Epilogue:
All water sources in Karamdaha have dried up…
But on the first night of every monsoon, when the river flows again, one can hear a woman’s voice:
“Jhūmrī has returned… do not wear red…”
