Introduction:
In a remote mountainous village in Taiwan, ancient chants still echo — invoking a mysterious goddess tied to an old, forbidden cult. It is said that those who speak her name don’t receive a blessing… but a burden more terrifying than death.
Beginning of the Story:
Main Character — Lin Yao
A 32-year-old single mother living in Taipei, Lin Yao notices something odd about her six-year-old daughter Xinxin. At school, the child seems to talk to invisible figures and repeatedly writes one strange sentence on the walls:
"Hou-ho-xiu-yi, si-sei-wu-ma."
Yao remembers — those were the exact words her mother whispered before she gouged out her own eyes and died from a mysterious illness.
Old Files & Videos:
Yao finds an old flash drive left in her mother’s belongings. The footage on it is grainy and black-and-white, showing her mother and several strangers inside a dark cave deep in the woods, chanting together in front of a massive black statue.
In the final moments, the camera falls to the ground. The last voice heard says:
"Now you’re part of it… Repeat… or they will all disappear."
The Curse Spreads:
The next day, Xinxin’s teacher goes insane, and a student mysteriously vanishes. Surveillance footage shows the child literally disappearing into a wall, as if swallowed.
Yao realizes this is all connected — her mother, her daughter, the chant, and a cult that never truly died.
The Village and the Forbidden Cave:
Using her mother’s journal, Yao travels to the village of Fushan, where her mother once lived. Locals refuse to speak, except one old woman who whispers:
"That’s no goddess… she devours."
She points toward a sealed cave said to hold the imprisoned Mother-Buddha — no one who enters ever returns unchanged.
Entering the Cave:
Inside, the cave walls are soaked with blood, scratched with messages:
"You’ve seen it now. Say it again."
The camera switches on by itself — something unseen seems to be watching. All around are bones, twisted bodies, and a living statue, whose eyes suddenly open wide...
End of Part 1 — Final Words:
“Hou-ho-xiu-yi…”

The Unfinished Ritual:
After returning from the cave, Yao’s eyes begin to darken — she feels herself changing. Meanwhile, Xinxin drifts further away, acting like something else is inside her.
The Hidden Pages:
Yao discovers hidden pages from her mother’s diary:
“When you become a mother, it enters through you… not a god, but a shadow that feeds.”
“There is only one way to end the curse — complete the ritual.”
Truth About the Cult:
According to a deranged old man in the village, Mother-Buddha isn’t divine at all — but a devouring entity that feeds on fear and belief. The cult never sealed her away — they spread her, using chants as keys to open gateways.
Everyone who repeats the chant… brings the curse closer to life.
Final Choice — Herself or Her Daughter?
Yao is left with two choices:

Final Recording:
The last scene is a shaky home video. Yao stares straight into the lens and says:

The camera flickers out. In the darkness, something unnatural glows in Xinxin’s eyes…
