After that horrifying night...
When I opened my eyes—
I was lying on the old wooden floor of the church. I couldn't even remember how long I had been unconscious. Was this a dream...
or reality?
I couldn't understand anything. Was I alive... or dead? I didn't even know that much.
The candles that had been burning in front of me...
had gone out.
Darkness surrounded me.
I couldn't see anything clearly.
But...
one voice was still echoing in my ears—
"Smile… Please…"
Again and again, I kept hearing that voice.
I didn't want to hear it.
But what could I do?
With trembling hands, I slowly opened my eyes.
The church door was shut.
Snow was falling outside.
But beneath the door...
dirt had somehow made its way inside.
The same kind of dirt you would see on a freshly dug grave.
But how?
Maybe because the church had underground chambers...
or maybe something else was happening.
Seeing all of this made my heart pound violently.
I tried to calm myself—
"No...
It was a dream...
just a dream..."
Someone was playing with my mind.
But who?
And why?
What did they want from me?
I didn't even know.
Then suddenly...
my eyes moved toward the floor.
There...
were wet footprints.
As if someone had just walked through mud moments ago.
And those footprints led directly toward the church basement...
The same basement...
that Sister Agastya had always forbidden me from entering.
Could there really be something down there she had been protecting me from?
Maybe she never knew...
that one day, I was destined to go there.
The Church Basement

The church bell begins ringing by itself at exactly 3 AM, signaling something terrifying.
I had never really thought much about that place before.
Sister Agastya always used to say—
"Not every church is home to God, Mack...
Some places are where people hide their sins."
People who look good in front of the world...
can sometimes be worse than demons behind closed doors.
Back then, I was only a child.
I thought she was joking.
But today...
her words felt different.
Now I couldn't tell what was right or wrong anymore.
I slowly walked toward the stairs.
Every step felt strange.
Like I had entered a completely different world.
The wooden steps creaked beneath me.
And from below...
a rotten smell was rising.
Then suddenly—
Dong...
Dong...
Dong...
The church bell began ringing on its own.
Exactly at 3:00 AM.
Something that should never happen.
Yet tonight...
it was happening.
I froze.
Because throughout Geneva, there was a terrifying legend:
"If the church bell rings by itself at 3:00 AM...
someone has died.
Or...
someone has returned."
Something...
that is no longer human.
My hands were shaking.
But I kept moving downward.
The Truth Beneath the Church

A horrifying whisper echoes through the darkness — "Smile Please..."
The basement door was slightly open.
Before pushing it, my heart pounded like something terrible was waiting on the other side.
I gathered my courage...
and pushed the door.
The moment it opened...
my breathing stopped.
Thousands of strange symbols covered the walls.
Names written in black paint.
Dried blood stains.
Wooden crosses hanging upside down.
And there...
lay the bodies of dead nuns.
Many of them.
Seeing that, a horrifying thought crossed my mind—
This wasn't the first time.
Sister Agnes wasn't the last.
More deaths were coming.
Then suddenly...
my eyes stopped at a chair standing in the center of the room.
And sitting on that chair...
was Sister Agnes.
Her eyes were open.
It looked like she was staring directly at me.
As if she had been waiting.
But...
she was dead.
Her body was completely still.
Yet her lips slowly moved.
Again and again, she whispered—
"Smile… Please…"
I stepped back.
"No... no... this can't be real..."
Suddenly—
her neck twisted toward me with a horrifying crack.
Black blood flowed from her eyes.
Then she smiled.
"She's back, Mack..."
I stuttered—
"W-who...?"
"Who are you talking about?"
At that exact moment...
every candle went out.
The entire basement drowned in darkness.
And inside that darkness...
I heard footsteps.
Step...
Step...
Step...
As if someone barefoot was walking through wet dirt.
Then...
a whisper came right beside my ear—
"You called me... didn't you?"
I turned around in terror.
And there—
standing directly behind me—
was Sister Agastya.
For a brief second...
I felt relieved.
But the next second...
I looked at her face.
And she no longer looked human.
Her face was torn apart.
Her eyes were completely black.
Her lips stretched all the way to her ears.
As if someone had ripped both sides of her face apart.

Mack discovers the most horrifying truth—he may already be dead.
And her smile...
was so large...
no human face should ever be able to hold it.
She slowly touched my face...
and whispered—
"You cry too much, Mack..."
"What did I tell you?"
"Nothing in this world is real."
"Not even what you're seeing right now."
"Say something, Mack..."
My lips trembled.
I couldn't speak.
She pressed her forehead against mine...
and whispered—
"Smile… Please…"
The Thing That Wasn't Human
Suddenly...
I realized something.
This wasn't Sister Agastya.
This was something else.
Something...
born from human suffering.
Something that feeds on pain.
And maybe...
I was the one who created it.
My tears.
My anger.
My hatred.
They opened a path into this world.
And sending it back...
might be impossible.
But I still had to try.
Suddenly the names on the basement walls began glowing.
I looked closer.
Every name belonged to someone...
who had died inside this church.
And at the very bottom...
a new name appeared:
The ground beneath my feet disappeared.
What was this?
Then who was I?
"No..."
"I'm alive..."
But then...
I saw my own body lying on the floor.
Blood was pouring from my head.
And I...
was staring at my own corpse.
The Smile After Death
Now I understood.
That night...
when I lost consciousness...
I had died.
And now...
whatever was walking through the church...
wasn't me anymore.
Sister Agastya smiled.
Slowly...
the entire church filled with laughter.
Children laughing.
Women laughing.
People crying while laughing.
All at once.
Then suddenly...
through the endless darkness...
only two words echoed:
"SMILE PLEASE 😁"
To Be Continued...
What exactly was hidden beneath the church?
Was Sister Agastya never human to begin with?
Is Mack truly dead... or is his soul trapped?
Is "Smile Please" a curse...
or the name of a demon?
And the child left on the church steps in 1872...
was he ever human at all?
