The Wheel Chair – The Tale of a Cursed Seat

(Part 1: The Return of the Curse)

Prologue
https://horrorstory1600.blogspot.com

Thousands of years ago, in Cairo, Egypt, a chair was built. But this was no ordinary chair. It was crafted from black ebony wood, stained with blood that had long since dried into its grains. It was said to have been made on the command of a sinful soul — a man who had committed so many atrocities that even death refused to accept him. His spirit became trapped within the chair — a door, a snare… a torment.

Centuries passed. Civilizations fell. The chair was locked away in the deepest halls of a museum — cursed, silent… but still alive.

Chapter 1: The Theft

Mumbai, present day.

Late at night, three masked thieves climbed over the walls of a city museum. For them, it was just another job — steal an old, strange-looking wheelchair and sell it to the city’s most notorious crime lord, Siddharth Bakhshi.

“This thing looks like it belonged to some ancient king,” one of the thieves whispered.

Another nervously touched the metal handle, and suddenly a thunderous roar echoed through the museum — as if something had screamed. But no one was there.

The thieves hesitated, but greed won. They loaded the chair into a truck... and something snapped.

One of the thieves’ eyes began to bleed, and before the others could stop him, he slit his own throat. The remaining two ran away in terror.

Chapter 2: Siddharth’s Laugh
https://horrorstory1600.blogspot.com

Siddharth Bakhshi. A name that made even the police shiver. That night, he sat in an abandoned warehouse when the chair was brought before him.

“This was made for me,” he smirked, and sat on it.

...and suddenly everything went black.

A mist swirled before his eyes, and he collapsed.

When he woke up—he was there.

Chapter 3: The Other World

Around him were green forests, massive stone formations, a deep blue sky. Birds soared above — but their faces looked disturbingly human. And in front of him stood beings shaped like men but with pitch-black eyes, long claws, wolf-like teeth, and loose, gray, leathery skin.

This was not Earth.

It was Earth’s shadow.

A parallel planet — where the people were cannibals that hunted only those humans who were full of sin.

Chapter 4: The Hunt

Siddharth was alone. Hungry, thirsty, scared. But he knew — fear would make him weak.

He hid through the night, but then he saw...

A girl — her eyes blazing with fire — killing the cannibals one by one. In her hands was a spear made of black flames. Wherever it struck, only ashes remained.

She was no human. She was a spirit — one that had sinned so greatly in her life that both Heaven and Hell had rejected her. Now she hunted the cannibals... but never spared sinners.

Chapter 5: The Condition
https://horrorstory1600.blogspot.com

An old monk approached Siddharth — he had only one eye, and his tongue was cut.

He gestured to Siddharth and wrote on the ground:

“You can return only
if someone truly innocent sits on the chair.”

Siddharth laughed. “Who in this world is truly innocent?”

But he didn’t know that this laugh would cost him his soul.

Part 2: The Price of Sin

Chapter 6: Return to the City

Back in the real world, Siddharth’s body lay unconscious. The doctors said he was in a coma. But his men were growing fearful.

The chair had begun to move on its own. Anyone who approached it heard whispers in an unknown language.

Two of Siddharth’s men were forced to sit in it.

Neither ever came back.

Chapter 7: A New Target

Now, the hunting spirit wasn’t confined to the other world.

A museum guard was found writing in blood on the wall:

“Those who sin become the chair’s feast.”

Police got involved. A junior officer named Aditya, young and honest, was sent to investigate.

He touched the chair — and it calmed.

His eyes turned blue. But he did not disappear.

Chapter 8: The Duel
https://horrorstory1600.blogspot.com

Siddharth was becoming more and more unhinged in that other world. His soul was being consumed by the chair. The spirit — the hunter — was seeking him.

She appeared before him.

“You can survive... on one condition.”

“What?” Siddharth whispered.

“Someone pure — someone innocent — must sit in the chair. Only then will you be set free.”

Chapter 9: Redemption?

Siddharth’s men tried to force Aditya to sit in the chair, but it wouldn’t react.

The chair only accepted those who sat of their own will.

Aditya understood — this chair was not just furniture. It was a gateway between sin and salvation.

Finally, he agreed to sit.

And as he did...

The chair erupted in flames. A scream rang through both worlds — Siddharth’s final scream.

Final Chapter: The Next Prey?

Siddharth’s soul was burned away.

But the chair still rests in the museum.

A plaque now hangs over it:

"Do not sit unless you are truly innocent."

A small child stands near it — pure, innocent. He looks up at the chair...

And with a smile, asks—

“Mommy, can I sit on it?”
